Jack and Will Have Fun
Summary of the plot so far:
Chapter 77 Toes “Will sighed, lashes all fluttery and dark, and turned his head. God, no, Jack thought, not the toe. Not the same toe I just had in your…”
Chapter 78 Experimentation “Jack was being very formal. He’d put on his pirate captain face, and was definitely using his pirate captain voice. It gave Will little goosebumps on the back of his neck, although he would never admit it to anyone, when Jack decided to play captain.”
Chapter 79 Tranquility “A cat I can live with,” Jack agreed, ignoring the whole rat-fear remark. He nibbled on the top ridge of Will’s ear. “But the cattle will have to go.”
Chapter 80 Fertility “I felt silly, sitting here all by my onesie talking to a cat with no name."
Chapter 81 Visitors “Jack was grateful he was lying down. It saved him the bother of swooning.”
Chapter 82 What Elizabeth Saw “Naked. She didn’t know why that was so surprising. Everyone is naked under their clothing; even people one would not wish to see naked. She wasn’t sure that she wished to see Jack naked, but there he was.”
Next: Part XI Jack and Will's Family
The story thus far... oh, for crying out loud, it’s impossible to recap the whole thing. Okay, I’ll try. Will and Jack had to leave the island for a while because the pirates were causing problems and Jack got Anamaria knocked up, which pissed off Charlotte since Will did not get Charlotte knocked up. (And I looked that up in a slang dictionary - ‘knocked up’ is a term that would have been used at the time...) On their journey they ran into Jack’s old captain, Nagaraj, a creepy nasty man who is the same dark, dour man whom Will sheltered from the law many years ago. It seems that Nagaraj has been holding a grudge against Jack for years because Jack took off in the middle of the night. And he’s been pining for Will Turner since he met him, and has a particularly creepy and nasty habit of picking up young men who remind him of Will and training them to be more like the way he remembers Will. So when he runs into Will and Jack, he sics his latest “Will”, a charming Will lookalike named Charles, on them. Jack and Will win the fight (yay!) but Jack is utterly revealed to Will - who doesn’t mind at all that Jack used to be under the thumb of such a nasty Captain, as long as Will gets to be under Jack in the here and now. But the wind has died down and the Black Pearl is drifting listlessly...
