Part XII

Jack is Lost to Will

Summary of the plot so far:

Chapter 91 The Waiting “You need to relax. Fear can be useful in battle, but this fretfulness will not do.”

Chapter 92 No Quarter “But what was he doing being noble and brave? Jack didn’t want him noble and brave. Jack wanted Will safe and sound. Why had he ever let Will stay and fight?”

Chapter 93 The Blood of a Pirate “Nagaraj, you’re outnumbered.” Nagaraj backed up, looked over his shoulder at Elizabeth and then at Will.
“You’re right,” he said, and in a move that was almost too fast to follow, he pulled a blade out from his boot and hurled it.

Chapter 94 The Gaol “He turned to the side, and there was Will Turner. Ridiculous, he told himself. Never happened. Will was smiling at him, and that was absurd because Will Turner would never smile at a pirate.”

Chapter 95 Appointment With The Hangman “How pathetic. Here he was, on his way to his death, and he was lusting after a man he barely knew.”

Chapter 96 Heaven “You can’t judge heaven by how good Will Turner looks.”

Next: Part XIII Jack And Will Forever

The story thus far... It turns out that Jack’s sister, the courtesan, was the madam that Marina DeMaurier bought her house from, and has been looking for Jack. It seems that Alex adopted Marina’s son, and that son, Jonathon, is the son of Jack Sparrow, which Alex didn’t know for sure until now. The reason she’s been looking for Jack is to inform him that their parents are dead. Jack’s not too upset about his father being dead, but he’s sad about his mum. Alex also brought Jonathon to meet his father. Will and Jonathon get along great, and Jack has to adapt to the sudden reality that his family is more than just Will’s step siblings etc, and that he’s actually related to the DeMaurier clan. In the meantime, a couple of harlots at Madam DeMaurier’s house find a battered and bruised Charles, who has been fired by Nagaraj and left for dead. Nagaraj has teamed up with Norrington, another naval captain with a grudge against Jack Sparrow, since he’s no longer a captain, he’s been busted down to almost nothing after his frightfully inept non-recovery of the Dauntless and the missing slave trader. Jacob DeMaurier has taken quite a shine to young Charles, which is very nice for Charles indeed. And everyone is waiting for Nagaraj, Norrington and their men to show up...
