I started writing this the day after I saw POTC:CotBC.
I finished it one year later, before the sequels were even confirmed.
I had nothing at all to do with the sequels, so if they fucked up the story
and characters for you, I’m just as sorry as you.

That said, Will Turner was unbelievably HOT after he was dead,
and I’m glad they put that part in for my perving pleasure.

Here is your main warning, so pay attention: The Pirate Way contains adult situations of many and varied types. While this fic includes predominantly homosexual situations,
 it also contains heterosexual activities
(although the homosex tends to be of a more explicit and carnal nature - kinky too).

It also contains a sometimes dizzying plot, convoluted family structures
and a truly excessive amount of original characters.

If you’re looking for a PWP, this ain’t it -
however, there’s plenty o’ smut and gratuitous worship of gorgeous men.

The story as a whole is rated NC-17. And I mean it.

Another Note on the Sequels
There were some highly questionable plot choices made in the sequels to POTC, particularly those involving cannibalism. I do not believe the Carib people to be cannibals, nor do I think they ever were cannibals. This isn’t just knee-jerk political correctness - the original accusations of cannibalism were made by the British and other colonizing forces because the Carib people refused to be invaded and overthrown without a fight.

The perpetuation of this myth is a continuation of the colonial attitudes that have oppressed the indigenous people of the islands of the Caribbean for centuries, and I highly resent The Disney Corporation sullying the good name of The Pirate Way with this sort of imperialist tripe.
